Dyeing To Weave SAORI Studio is a place of relaxed creativity amongst a peaceful rural setting, offering new and experienced weavers and dye artists the opportunity to DISCOVER, LEARN and CONNECT with this Japanese zen style of creativity and make beautiful, handmade textiles to wear or cherish.
Led by the passionate and inspirational Prue Simmons, one of only three accredited SAORI teachers in Australia, Dyeing To Weave is a registered global SAORI studio and licensed distributor of SAORI looms and equipment and Japanese Bengala Earth Dyes.
Specialising in SAORI weaving, Japanese Bengala and Indigo Dyes, the studio has a dynamic focus that honours Japanese culture and these unique crafts. This is furthered by experiences at a 3-day SAORI Weaving & Japanese Dye Retreat at Shizuka Ryokan in Victoria’s Spa Country and an incredible 2-week immersive tour in Japan each year.
